The RN to BSN program at the Mount is built on 40 years of experience. Nursing is at the heart of the Mount's mission.

Expand your skills and enhance your career

RNs can earn a bachelor's degree to expand their career options through a variety of classes and application experiences. The RN-BSN is specially designed to meet the needs of the working RN. Small class sizes allow for RN students to receive consistent, personal attention toward their success. The RN-BSN program can be completed in as little as 16 months.

The RN-BSN graduate has a multitude of career advancement and enhancement opportunities such as:

  • Expanded leadership roles: Clinical Manager, Clinical Educator, Project Manager
  • Marketability across specialties: Inpatient, outpatient, homecare services, public health
  • Advanced practice roles: The BSN is the natural "next-step" for RNs wishing to complete an APRN degree in the future in becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Administrator, or Nurse Educator

Blended online format and provisional admission option

The fully online format offers a combination of fully online and blended courses. All blended courses offer two face-to-face meetings in which students choose between attending on campus, or connecting via an online platform, similar to Webex or Skype. Students complete a minimum of 30 credit hours in courses.

Each course is offered in a seven-week accelerated format.

  • Classes involve intensive study, close working relationships with faculty and other students and innovative opportunities for self-directed learning.
  • Courses build on previous nursing knowledge with an emphasis on leadership, management, evidence-based care and patient-centered nursing.

Provisional Admission Option:
Current Associate Degree in Nursing students (such as from Cincinnati State or Gateway) can now apply for provisional admission status consideration, while awaiting their NCLEX-RN test date and be provisionally accepted in our RN-to-BSN program.
