Biography:

Dr. Beth Corbo earned her doctoral degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2011 and her Master’s degree and accreditation as a Reading Specialist from Xavier University in 1990. Prior to joining the Education Department at Mount St. Joseph University in 2014, Beth was employed by Cincinnati Public Schools as a classroom teacher and Reading Specialist. In these roles, she worked with a number of schools within the district in a variety of ways from providing research-based reading interventions to delivering professional development to district teachers. Beth believes that nothing that has greater transformational capacity than learning to read and is proud that the Reading Science Department at Mt. St. Joseph University offers those, whose goal is to see every child transformed by the power of reading, a unique opportunity to learn the highly effective methods to do so.
