Biography:

Dr. Perkins is an Instructor of Physical Therapy teaching Neurologic Rehabilitation, Pediatrics, and Therapeutic Exercise in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Curriculum. She has a strong love for pediatrics where she has spent the majority of her PT career, mostly focusing on the specialty areas of neuro rehab, developmental, and burn care. Currently, she shares her clinical skills at Shriners Hospital Ohio focusing in pediatric burn rehab. She is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy and is a Certified Traumatic Brain Injury Specialist. Kim is a Co-Chair of the Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy Mentoring Program within the APTA and a Credentialed Clinical Instructor. Taking part in the community is also important to Kim. You will find her involved in many PTO committees in her community and is a “buddy” for children with special needs at her church.
