Biography:

Dr. Megan Schneider Dinnesen earned her doctorate in special education at the University of Cincinnati. Prior to joining the Mount community, Dr. Dinnesen directed federally-funded research projects at the University of Cincinnati investigating the development of early literacy skills in children with exceptionalities. In addition, she taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati. Previously, Dr. Dinnesen taught special education in Oak Hills Schools for 9 years, working primarily with children with moderate to intense needs in grades K-5. Dr. Dinnesen teaches courses in special education at the undergraduate and graduate level. Dr. Dinnesen has published and presented her research.

Outside of work, Dr. Dinnesen is happily married and has two young children and a puppy. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family hiking, biking, kayaking, and reading in hammocks.
