Megan Pater serves as principal faculty within the department of Physician Assistant Studies at Mount St Joseph University. She was born and raised in Cincinnati, and grew up about a mile from the University. Her professional career began as an Athletic Trainer. She has experience working with college athletes through Wright State University, and the University of Cincinnati. During this time she also served as an adjunct instructor in UC's athletic training program. She also worked for Beacon Orthopaedics before going back to school to become a Physician Assistant. Shortly after graduation from Kettering, she worked as a PA in community mental health at St Joseph Orphanage and Positive Leaps. While working as a clinical PA, she precepted PA students from the University.
