Biography:
Dr. Johnson is a professor emerita in the Department of Nursing. She holds a Ph.D. in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati and an M.A. in Human Relations Services from Governors State University. She also received a B.S.N. from the University of Alabama and a B.A. in Psychology from Western Illinois University.
Professor Johnson practiced bedside nursing for almost 15 years, primarily in the area of labor and delivery. Since she began her career in academia at the Mount in 1982, Dr. Johnson has published articles in Nurse Educator, MCN, and Athletic Therapy Today. She is also co-editor of "Diseases and Disorders: A Nursing Therapeutics Manual."
Professor Johnson enjoys reading a good mystery, watching movies and traveling to Chicago to visit family.
