Biography:
Dr. Wendy LeBorgne is an Associate Professor in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences in the School of Health Sciences. Considered both a pioneer and expert in the field of voice, voice disorders, and vocal athletes, Dr. LeBorgne possesses a unique blend of the art and science of the human voice, and its impact and influence on communication. Prior to joining The Mount, Dr. LeBorgne served as the clinical director and voice pathologist at two private practice voice centers. Dr. LeBorgne has authored more than 10 textbook chapters, 20 peer-reviewed articles, and presented over 200 invited lectures and workshops around the world. Her book (co-authored with Marci Rosenberg), The Vocal Athlete, is considered a seminal text in present day vocal pedagogy.
As an appointed member of ASHA’s Health Care Economics Committee (HCEC) Dr. LeBorgne works with the government relations and public policy board to ensure equitable coverage for service reimbursement in communication disorders at the national level including serving as the alternate for the CPT Committee at the American Medical Association. She has previously served for the Voice and Upper Airway Board Certification process and American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Special Interest Group on Voice and Voice Disorders. Dr. LeBorgne serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Voice and is the Vocal Health and Wellness Coordinator for the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). Her TED talk on Voice Branding™ enlightens audiences on the elements of authentic, engaged communication.

Her executive communication clients include Fortune 100 CEO’s, c-suite executives, physicians, politicians, TED talk speakers, and global companies who work with her to better communicate as individuals and aim to more cohesively improve communication dynamics within their teams and organizations.
