MSJ Mission Ambassadors

Come live our mission with us in an engaging and supportive community.

We commit ourselves to creating an inclusive environment where persons of all faiths and no faith are welcomed. The Mission Ambassador Program is an intentional community of students who support and encourage one another in living the mission of Mount St. Joseph University while they:

  • Explore the Catholic heritage and history of the Mount and the Sisters of Charity as a means of developing their own faith perspectives in service to the common good.
  • Learn to intentionally engage with and serve as leaders within the faith, civic, and professional communities of which they are a part.
  • Live their faith by engaging in regular prayer, retreats, and service to others.

"Being able to participate in service at the Mount has been the best experience! Growing up, I was involved in service opportunities at my church and being able to continue this at the Mount has been great."

“The Mission Ambassador program is a community of faith-filled people that have allowed me to grow into myself since its inception. I have had the opportunity to learn how to be an avid leader, one who knows when to step up and take charge, but also when to encourage others to lead and take a follower role.” - Emily Etris ‘23
“The Mission Ambassador program has allowed me to learn more about faith theology and the Saints, learn about people of different faith backgrounds, and expand my world view. It has given me many opportunities such as leadership positions and faith retreats where I am able to grow in fellowship and community.” -Ella Hartung ‘24
“The Mission Ambassador experience overall has been amazing for me. Not only has it provided me opportunities to serve in the community, it has created great friendships with the other Missions Ambassadors.” - Gabe Smorey ‘25
