President H. James Williams, Ph.D.

On March 15, 2016, The Mount St. Joseph University Board of Trustees names H. James Williams, Ph.D., J.D., MBA, LL.M., the University's seventh president.

A noted scholar and attorney, Dr. H. James Williams brings a wealth of expertise in accounting, law, and academic leadership to the Mount. Previously the president of Fisk University and dean of several business schools—including Seidman College, North Carolina Central, and Delaware State—he has also held faculty positions at Georgetown and Notre Dame. Dr. Williams is a CPA and CMA with a Ph.D. in accounting from the University of Georgia, an MBA in accounting from University of Wisconsin, and two law degrees from Georgetown University Law Center. Dr. Williams is married to First Lady Carole Campbell Williams (of Flint, Michigan), and the Williamses have two young-adult children. Visit here for a complete biography of Dr. Williams
