Biography:

Dr. Mary Webb – Adjunct Instructor of Teacher Education & Award-Winning Mathematics Educator. Dr. Mary Webb is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in mathematics instruction and teacher education. She currently teaches 7th-grade mathematics at Withrow University High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, while also serving as an adjunct professor in the Department of Teacher Education at Mount Saint Joseph University.


In 2023, Dr. Webb was honored as the Cincinnati Public Schools Educator of the Year, a testament to her exceptional contributions to student learning and her innovative approach to teaching.


Dr. Webb holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Psychology from Park University and a master’s degree in the Art of Teaching from Goucher College. In 2015, she earned her Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Miami University. She now contributes to the preparation of future educators, specializing in mathematics methods courses.

Her research interests focus on reconceptualizing mathematics education, challenging the perception that math is difficult, irrelevant, or confined to textbooks and worksheets. She is also passionate about supporting teachers in rediscovering the joy of teaching and learning, fostering classroom environments where students are inspired to explore their potential both inside and outside the classroom.
