  Michelle Olmsted, Director of Development and Campaign Planning

"It’s hard to describe, but my colleagues at the Mount are the most sincere and passionate people I have worked with."  When Michelle is not at the Mount, you can find her at her lake cottage in Michigan, where the woods, campfires, and fishing, "Ground me and bring great happiness.”

  Colleen Pfeiffenberger, Director of Advancement Services

A Cincinnati native, now residing in Florence, Kentucky, Colleen graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a B.S. in Criminal Justice and has spent the past two decades of her career working in the non-profit sector. After spending a few years in the business sector, she found her passion for making a difference at Women’s Crisis Center in Northern Kentucky, where she worked as a development associate and grant writer for ten years. Colleen joined the Institutional Advancement team at Mount St. Joseph University in 2010 as an office manager, which soon evolved into stewardship manager, and she now serves as the Director of Advancement Services.  Having grown up in nearby Bridgetown, Colleen is excited to be back to her west side roots, where most of her family still live.  Colleen has a personal drive to live out the Mount mission every day and strives to ensure MSJ donors, alumni, students, faculty, and staff all feel like they are part of an extended family. “I want everyone to feel the love and appreciation we have for them and all they do to help ensure our students succeed.” She is a proud mother of two children, one of whom is currently an undergraduate student at the Mount!

  Michael Heckmann '11, Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations

A Cincinnati native, Michael has spent the past decade working in the local nonprofit sector. After graduating from the Mount in 2011 with a B.S. in Psychology and Religious Studies, Michael learned the importance of inclusion and social role valorization working as a Collaboration Project Manager with Starfire. From there, he spent a year as Student Ministry Producer with Crossroads Church before moving to SC Ministry Foundation, where he worked as the Grants Administrator. Michael joined University staff in 2019, working with the Career & Experiential Education Center team before moving to his current position. “One of the things I’ve come to appreciate the most about the work on which I’ve been able to collaborate across the Tri-State is the pervasive emphasis on working for the common good. It’s so encouraging to be part of an institution that inherently places this theme at the core of everything we do.”

 

Michael also serves on the board of Neighborhoods Embracing Transformation, which focuses on creating partnerships and systems that bring about city transformation for the benefit of all.

  Matt Taske '14, '09, Director of Alumni Engagement

Matt-Taske.gifAs an alum of the Mount, receiving both his Bachelor's and his Master's degrees, Matt has had the opportunity to give back to the institution that has provided him with so much. He believes that when we find things we are passionate about, we find the means to see them through. Education has provided him an opportunity to work in a role that gives his life a purpose greater than a paycheck. “After spending many years in the corporate world, I’m thrilled to work towards such an impactful and powerful mission. At the end of the day, I can lay my head down knowing I have made a meaningful, positive difference in the lives of others”. Matt knows personally the value of a degree from the Mount and is excited to work with alumni and donors.

  Nancy Herzog '09, Senior Philanthropy Officer

Nancy Herzog is a Development Professional who works with individuals to help fulfill their philanthropic priorities.  With over 6 years of development experience, Nancy develops genuine relationships with constituents and matches their interests with initiatives of the organization.  Nancy is passionate about education and believes that having the opportunity to attend College is imperative and can often change the trajectory for families. 

 

Nancy holds a BS in Psychology from Mount St. Joseph University and an M.Ed from the University of Dayton.

  Tammy Arthur, Stewardship Manager

Tammy makes sure that everyone she crosses paths with feels like part of the Mount family. She has a personal commitment to the Mount's mission and exhibits the Heart of a Lion each day. "I love working with others that are driven to make a difference in the lives of others.  The sense of community here at MSJ creates a home away from home atmosphere.  The commitment in which instructing students to live a life in service to others is commendable."

  Morgan Carpenter '20, Content Specialist

Morgan-Headshot.gifMorgan Carpenter is a Cincinnati native, who grew up in nearby Ross, Ohio. Morgan graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Communication and New Media Studies from Mount St. Joseph University in 2020. After graduation, Morgan joined the Institutional Advancement team full-time, where she now serves as the IA Content Specialist. She loves being able to interact with the Mount community and fellow alumni daily through social media, the Alumni newsletters, and alumni events.
