MSJ brings you an early kick off to the holiday season with a thoughtful look at what happens when we over-think, misunderstand, and love oh-so deeply.

MSJ Theatre Arts presents its upcoming production, “Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley” on Nov. 3, 4, 11 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. in the Williams Recital Hall. Tickets are $5-$10.

Directed by Director of Theatre Arts, Lauren Carr, this sequel to Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice novel follows bookish middle-sister Mary as its unlikely heroine.

Mary is growing tired of her role as dutiful middle sister in the face of her siblings’ romantic escapades. When the family gathers for Christmas, an unexpected guest sparks Mary’s hopes for independence, an intellectual match, and possibly even love.

“We are excited to kick off the holiday season early this year with this theatre production,” exclaims Carr. “I hope the entire MSJ community comes out to see the great work the theatre art students are doing – they are truly amazing!”

The production is written by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon.
