Open Call to 2D and 3D Artists, Art Educators, College Students, and MSJ Alumni
Studio San Giuseppe Gallery invites submissions of assemblage artwork (both traditional and non-traditional including digital art). This is a rare opportunity to have your work exhibited in this long-standing gallery serving the west side of Cincinnati. This exhibition invites artists to explore the concept of assemblage, emphasizing innovation and artistic expression. The exhibition seeks to display works that creatively blend different media, offering fresh perspectives on how disparate elements can be combined to create a unified artistic vision. This show provides an opportunity for emerging and established artists to gain exposure, as selected pieces will be featured in this prominent group exhibition. Artists may also be considered for future exhibitions in the Studio San Giuseppe Gallery based on their work.
Two prestigious local artists, Michael Thompson, a Forbes Top 30 under 30 recipient and Jim Tucker, an international commercial artist and illustrator, will jury the exhibition. This exhibition is a way for artists, students, and the community to connect with assemblage art and possibly introduce an innovative way to think about assemblage to the art world.
Artwork can be in-the-round sculptures, relief pieces or wall mounted artworks for this juried exhibition. Artists Michael Thompson and Jim Tucker will adjudicate and curate the exhibit from the submitted online works. All artworks must be submitted online via the Google form for judging from November 4-18, 2024. Artists will be notified of the results by December 1, 2024.
