Review the gallery exhibitions presented by Studio San Giuseppe this winter
Studio San Giuseppe Art Gallery and our Creative Arts Department have been busy this winter presenting unique and well-curated exhibitions for the university and community to enjoy! The first exhibit Journey to the Finish – An artistic look at the sports culture in Cincinnati - Curated by Tom Tsuchiya was an innovative exhibition featuring 10 contemporary artists exploring their journey of creating sports-centered artwork. The exhibition ran from November 3, 2024 to December 9, 2024. Gallery goers and sports enthusiasts alike were able to walk alongside the artists in their journeys to elevate the athletes and sports moments of Cincinnati through art. The second exhibit Juried Assemblage - Curated by Michael Thompson & Jim Tucker is on display from January 17, 2025 – February 12, 2025. These two prestigious local artists, Michael Thompson, a Forbes Top 30 under 30 recipient and Jim Tucker, an international commercial artist and illustrator, juried the exhibition. This exhibition was a way for artists, students, and the community to connect with assemblage art and possibly introduce an innovative way to think about assemblage to the art world.
