Georgana Taggart, J.D., Chairperson

The University is phasing out the Legal Studies major (BA and AA) and the Paralegal Certificate. Students are no longer being admitted into any of these programs.

Students currently enrolled in any of these programs will be allowed to complete their degrees. Those who complete their degree or certificate requirements by the conclusion of the summer semester 2022 (S422) will receive an ABA-approved credential. Degrees and certificates awarded after S422 will not be identified as ABA-approved.

The Department of Legal Studies no longer offers a minor in legal studies.

The Mount has several 3+3 articulation agreements for students interested in attending law school. Contact the department of the Academic Advising Resource Center for more information.
