Mount St. Joseph University’s (MSJ) Registrar’s Office, in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), is responsible for monitoring access to and release of information from student education records. Students may request MSJ to release information to third parties by completing the FERPA Authorization to Release Information here.

Students may withhold Directory Information by notifying the Registrar through the Request for Non-Disclosure of Directory Information form here within the first two weeks of the academic semester the request is to become effective. The University assumes no liability for honoring a student’s withholding of information. This block remains in place until the student releases it.

Designated Directory Information that may be released by the University is:

  • Student Name
  • Address(es) (local, home, and email)
  • Telephone (local and home)
  • Date and place of birth
  • Photograph
  • Student classification (year in school)
  • Program of study
  • Major(s) and minor(s)
  • Academic advisor
  • Inclusive dates of enrollment
  • Enrollment status
  • Degrees earned
  • Awards received including academic honors
  • Most recent previous educational agency or institution attended
  • Participation in officially recognized activities and sports
  • Weight and height of athletic team members
